Covid kept this couple separated by borders. It was a long 3-day Phoenix to Chicago road trip to meet up with my girlfriend after being separated by boarders due to Covid travel restrictions. International couple Mike and Mihaela had been separated by borders due to the Covid pandemic for more than 9 months. Mike is American and Mihaela (Miha) is from Romania. These travel bloggers and content creators have not seen each other in nearly a year as neither could travel to each other's respective country due to border closures. Finding a loophole through Europe, Miha flew from Bucharest to Turkey, then to Chicago to meet up with her partner Mike. By flying through Istanbul, Miha avoided the Schengen European countries that were banned from flying to the U.S. Mike had to drive all the way from Phoenix to meet Miha in Chicago.
