Hey Digi Art Fam! In this tutorial I’m breaking down a super simple way to draw noses using basic shapes—because noses can feel intimidating at first, but they don’t have to be. The method I’m using is a technique I learned from Artwork by Gabrielle (she’s amazing), and it’s basically: an upside-down triangle plus an oval (think a smooshed ice cream cone). From there, I lightly shade the bottom of the triangle, grab my smudge tool, and blend until there are hardly any harsh lines. After the front view, I walk you through a few angles so you can actually use this in real drawings: a side view (isosceles triangle + circle/oval), an upward-pointing nose (nostrils become more of an arch), and a complete side profile where the nostril gets more elongated. I also talk about adjusting angles as you draw—because you’ll notice what needs to shift as you go—and why using a reference photo is really helpful when you’re just starting out. My biggest takeaway: keep it simple, blend it out, and don’t be afraid to reshape until your “cute little blooper” nose looks right to you.
