About This Video

Guys, in this one I’m reviewing two Harbor Freight lights that I honestly didn’t even know existed—and I consider myself an afficionado at Harbor Freight. First up is a universal airspray gun light attachment that I saw someone running on the end of a powder coating gun. If you powder coat, you already know lighting is everything, because you can think you laid it on heavy enough, bake it, and then realize it’s too light and you’ve got to redo the whole job. So I mounted this ring light to my Harbor Freight powder coating gun, figured out the right bracket (part B, not part A), and got it sitting level so the beam follows exactly where I’m spraying. Then I installed Harbor Freight’s Braun tactical light (1,000 lumens) on my GSG Firefly .22 using the 1913 rail key. I walk through how I positioned it so the ambidextrous rubberized switches sit right behind the trigger guard where you can actually use them. We tested it in a well-lit shop and outside at dusk, and I’m sold—both of these are underrated upgrades that make real-world shop work and visibility way better. The big takeaway: for the money, these lights can save you time, rework, and a whole lot of frustration.
