Busan Travel Guide | What to See and Do | South Korea Travel 2025

This week we take the short flight to Busan from Jeju Island. Busan is South Korea’s spicy, seaside soul—with a little sand between its toes and a whole lot of personality. It’s where glitzy skyscrapers cozy up to fishing villages, and where you can start your morning with fresh sashimi at the Jagalchi Fish Market and end it in a beachside café watching the neon lights twinkle over Haeundae Bay. The city has serious swagger: temples perched on cliffs, art villages splashed with rainbow paint, and a beach train that’s more charming than it has any right to be. If Seoul is the serious older sibling, Busan is the cool cousin who surfs at sunrise and still makes it to dinner on time. It is a wonderful city that should be on everyone's bucketlist.
