Bookmas Day 23 is here, which means it’s time to keep unwrapping my bookish advent calendar—this time we’re opening books 13 and 14. I’m sharing my real-time reactions as I peel back the wrapping, figure out what each pick is, and talk through what I think the vibe is going to be (thriller? spooky? romance? literary?). This whole series is basically bookish chaos in the coziest way, and I love that it forces me to look at a stack of titles I might not have grabbed on my own. Along the way, I’m also keeping the bigger picture in mind: which of these feel like potential book club picks, which ones are more “read it for the plot twists” energy, and which ones might be a pass for me depending on mood.
