This time I´m restoring a Glashütte Chronometer from the 60`s. It´s powered by the GUB 70.3 caliber (chronometer certified). The watch is in a bad condition: The gold-plating of the case is a bit damaged, the glass is scratched and the movement is not running like a chronometer should. I need to replace the broken setting-lever screw and the second-wheel because it´s wobbling. After everything is cleaned and polished, I can re-assemble the movement with some fresh oil. After that, this watch is in a awesome beat (+0 to +1 seconds per day) again. I decided to keep the original gold-plating even if it is damaged a bit. I prefer a vintage-looking original plating then a brand-new looking not-original-plating. What would you prefer? Keep the original-plating or re-plate the case? I hope you liked this restoration, if so, like, comment and subscribe ;) Subscribe to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/RedDeadRestoration?sub_confirmation=1 Music: "Ersatz Bossa Sting" by John Deley and the 41 Players "Scary Island" by Verified Picasso ___________________________________ Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reddeadrestoration Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/YTRedDeadRestoration Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Reddeadrestoration ___________________________________ Acrylic Glass Polishing Compound: https://amzn.to/2XIP8vF ** Case Polishing Diamond Paste: https://amzn.to/2Ye1MSo ** Case Polishing Wadding: https://amzn.to/2UlNfme ** Thermo-Tape: https://amzn.to/30YktME ** Fiber Glass Pen: https://amzn.to/2AQfpzi ** UV-Lamp: https://amzn.to/3iuOSJ8 ** UV-Glue: https://amzn.to/3ghGSZK ** Rodico: https://amzn.to/3eWtTN2 ** Multi-Purpose Watch-Repair-Kit: https://amzn.to/2XIQ7Mn ** Multitool: https://amzn.to/2BNryW9 ** Buffing Wheels for Multitool: https://amzn.to/30gJCSF ** My Camera: https://amzn.to/32er4BJ ** ** Affiliate Links Disclaimer: This video and description contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, I’ll receive a small commission.
