Ultralight Fishing From Shore with a Surprise Catch!

This morning I am out for more ultralight fishing from shore, and this time I end up with a surprise catch! I left the house early to beat the heat and get some morning fishing in. I had to put new line on my ultralight reel and I went with six pound test strength. After that I set up my desperation rig and got started. With a simple float rig consisting of a float, a jig head, and a gulp minnow I am able to catch a bunch of nice bluegill. And the surprise fish is a big nine in shellcracker!
