I went fishing for crappie and this is what I caught. Winter fishing from the bank for crappie can get you a mixed bag. Where you can find crappie, you might also find bluegill. Today I caught a mix of mostly bluegill and one nice crappie in my favorite winter crappie fishing spot. You can still catch cold weather crappie and bluegill from shore even at the end of November. Since it got cold, the bite might have slowed down a little bit, but I am still catching fish in winter temperatures. The rig is easy enough for anything to try, even a beginner.
