I have been fishing in the freezing cold so you don't have to. In this video I'll show how winter fishing in open water from shore is possible in Tennessee. Despite it being 34 degrees out, I am still trying to catch crappie and bluegill. I'm fishing with a simple float rig because I don't have time to fumble around with a lot of rigs or lures. I end up catching a handful of bluegill, but no crappie. Yes, you can fishing from the bank when its freezing cold. But the fish may get smaller, and your hands might freeze.
