. UPDATE: The Rode SC3 cable is actually a TRRS to TRS adapter. The Saramonic Smallrig's wire has a TRRS at the end of it. So you need to go from TRRS to TRS into the rode in order for there to be a signal. Hope that clarifies why I am using this cable. So it's NOT a booster cable but an adapter.
