This is the Brightin Star 85mm f/1.8 I tested, and I honestly think it’s the best value portrait lens out right now. You’re getting sharp results even at f/1.8, great control of distortion/vignetting/CA, and a surprisingly premium all-metal build with a de-clicked aperture ring for video.

- -Can hunt/hesitate in some autofocus situations
- -A bit heavy/big on small bodies like the Sony A7C
- -Cat-eye bokeh toward the corners
