Welcome to my hotel. The Hotel Altona. After taking the elevator to the fifth floor, I take the circular staircase to the sixth. Down the hall is our cozy room at the Hotel Altona in Paris, France. A budget hotel near Paris Nord train station in the Montmartre neighborhood. In this video I show you what woke me up early Saturday morning July 5th, 2025. Last night we were up late because of the revelry at the bar below. The primarily North African partiers we're having fun singing and chatting. Friday night in Paris. As for Annie and I. We had the window open because our room, like many in Europe, doesn't have air conditioning. The soft breeze kept our sweaty bodies relatively cooler and eventually we fell asleep. At around 3 am!! That's when the frivolity downstairs concluded. Today, Saturday I see men doing construction on a nearby roof. It's also apparently garbage day in this neighborhood. Don't quote me on that. Another day in #Paris. The front staff were very nice (they gave me cookies and cold water) as compared to the maids who were hella grumpy and didn't like answering any form of a question.
