I use the LP60 as the baseline comparison because it’s the classic entry-level Audio-Technica table a lot of people start on. The LP70X’s VM95 setup is a clear upgrade over the LP60’s ATN3600L cartridge, which is why I call it night-and-day in that department. If you’re shopping budget, the LP60 is still relevant, but the LP70X steps things up.
