The stock portal axles are nearly indestructible, in my experience. I should have made that more clear, sorry. - the lower red lights on the rear DO actually light up, but only dimly and only when reversing. - the car comes with a Lipo battery but no little USB charger, so you'll need to supply that. If you don't have a charger, get one that does balance and in particular, storage charge, so you can look after it when not in use.
