About This Video

This is the Director’s Cut of “Hidden Gem,” the newest tourism campaign for the city of El Paso, Texas—and I’m still processing how big this one was. I had the privilege to Direct/Produce the largest production of my career so far: 100+ actors on camera, 50+ locations, 26 days of filming, and a crew of 25 insanely talented artists from the region. From planning to execution, this project pushed every part of my filmmaking brain—logistics, visual storytelling, and how to keep a cinematic look consistent across a massive shoot. More than anything, I made this as a love letter to El Paso. I wanted the visuals to feel story-driven and elevated—something that captures the energy, culture, and beauty people don’t always expect when they think “Southwest.” This cut is about the craft and the collaboration: producers, AD team, locations, camera department, grip/electric, art, HMU, BTS, VO talent, and every single person who showed up and made the city look the way it deserves to look on screen. If you’re into cinematic production, this is a real example of what it takes to scale a film-style campaign with heart.
