If you want more than just DJI-to-DJI connections, the receiver kit is the step up. It lets you mount to a camera and control gain properly from the receiver, which is key for a lot of mirrorless/cinema rigs. Just be careful—on my FX3 I had to turn the in-camera gain right down and manage levels on the receiver.
