I bought tiny succulents for $1, and medium sized healthy house plants for $9. This place is beautiful, inspiring, and be ready to want everything there! We got some succulents, calatheas, snake plants and an ivy. Other places where you can find inexpensive house plants are IKEA and Trader Joe's.
