💔 Our home in Burnet, Texas was completely destroyed by the devastating July 4th floods. On July 4th, 2025, Central Texas experienced catastrophic flooding with over 16 inches of rain falling in less than 12 hours. Our house, which was not in a designated flood plain, was hit hard by the rising waters. What was supposed to be a quiet holiday turned into a life-changing event as we watched our home flood and many of our belongings get ruined. In this emotional update, I share what happened that day, the shocking aftermath, pictures of the flooded street and damage, and where we stand now with recovery. We didn’t have flood insurance, so we’re working with FEMA while trying to replace essential appliances and furniture.
