Soundbrenner Wave

I tested the Soundbrenner Wave and my honest take is simple: it’s not reference level, but it works on stage. The bass has extra energy and the mids cut, which is exactly what I want when the stage is loud and messy. Just be ready to swap tips—silicone didn’t isolate well for me, so memory foam was the move.

Pros

  • +Bass energy works well for live stage monitoring
  • +Forward mids help vocals and guitars cut through a busy mix
  • +Top end is controlled and not overly harsh
  • +Includes multiple ear tips (silicone and memory foam)

Cons

  • -Thin cable and overall package feels weak for the price
  • -Silicone tips don’t isolate well; high-frequency noise creeps in
  • -Bass can resonate and get a bit mushy in lows/subs
  • -Not neutral or reference level for mixing

What Project Beats // Joven says

The soundbrenner wave have some  excess bass energy and that's sort of a good   thing on stage at least in my opinion
