The TD-716 is the higher-end option in the new lineup if you want more of the digital-pad ecosystem and live-ready features. I didn’t review it hands-on here, but based on what I saw from the V-Drums event notes, the upper modules open up more digital pad support and functionality while keeping the core sounds consistent across the range.
