The Audeze LCD-X is here because I’m very familiar with it and it delivers planar speed, transient response, and low-end slam for days. For studio work, I still recommend EQ—out of the box the upper mids can feel recessed, which can mislead your mix translation if you’re not careful.

Pros

  • +Planar speed and transient response
  • +Big low-end slam and energy
  • +Great for EDM/bass-focused checks

Cons

  • -Needs EQ for reliable studio translation
  • -Upper mids can feel recessed stock

What Project Beats // Joven says

We're doing under 300 around 500, under 700, and then we're doing premium
Moving on to premium >> uh LCDX
Actually, that's our uh most recommended headphone at this premium price tier
I I think the number one recommendation for premium price one I would still still go D1 and then LCDX but now I'm thinking about other brands oh Caldera I would say yeah right Caldera closed well for me I can totally recommend because the sound it gives is I think not straightforward in a sense because you have this uh pad rolling also the material used may affect may affect the the EQ of the headphones
