After discussing how QED governs the electromagnetic force, and QCD governs the strong nuclear force, we are ready to move on to the weak nuclear force, or the weak interaction. This is mediated by W and Z bosons, and is responsible for processes like beta decay and nuclear fusion. Let's see how this phenomenon is explained by the Standard Model.
