In this video I’ll show you how to make rustic coasters from slate shingles! My friend has a huge pile of slate shingles left over from a roofing job he did. He’s let me have a bunch for whatever project ideas I have. Today I thought I’d convert an old slate shingle into a coaster perfect for a rustic décor or even a mid-century modern design style. The cork bottom insulates the stone from the table and the slate, when finished with a bit of linseed oil, provides a perfect combination of rough and elegance. This project is perfect lock-down afternoon build. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe!
