In this Junk Journal With Me, I’m walking you through my full process for making a page using the packing from my Tabasco Sauce box—because I genuinely love proving that you can make a page out of truly anything. I start by pulling the packaging apart, trimming it down, and figuring out a layout that feels balanced before I commit with glue. This is one of those projects where the “junk” does all the heavy lifting for color and vibe, and then I just build on it with simple tools and a few intentional details. I’m working in my Archer & Olive journal and using the basics I always reach for: a good craft knife and scissors for clean cuts, a bone folder to really press everything down, and a couple different adhesives depending on what I’m sticking. I add in finishing touches with pens—especially a red pen to lean into that Tabasco color story—and I’ll use markers when I want extra pop. The big takeaway: don’t overthink it. Start with what you have, layer thoughtfully, and you’ll end up with a creative page you can actually stick with.
