About This Video

In this prep-the-week with me, I’m setting up my Daily Grind Planner for January 12–18 and showing you exactly how I like to create gentle structure without making it feel overwhelming. I start by decorating the whole week first (for me, that’s mostly washi and some highlighters), because once it looks pretty and organized, I actually want to use it. I’m using winter washi, blocking off the schedule area to make it feel a little more whimsical, and keeping everything clean and functional—this planner is where I stay on track. I also walk through the weekly layout and the prompts that help me think: what I want to do more, what I want to do less, and what will make me feel successful by the end of the week. Then I set up a brain dump page (I literally label it “brain dump”) and divide it up with a ruler so I can focus my energy. Finally, I fill out a real daily page for Monday and show my daily goals—things like moving my body (10,000 steps if possible), reading for 20 minutes, being in bed by 11, a 10-minute house tidy, gratitude and affirmations, money-aware choices, skill practice (coding + SEO this year), connecting with someone, an intentional significant-other moment, and homemade meals. It’s cozy, realistic, and supportive—especially on low-energy days.
