About This Video

This week I’m setting up my catch-all planner (my Live Love Posh vertical layout) for January 5th through the 11th, and I’m going for my favorite vibe: functional, but still decorative. I used the I Love Winter sticker kit by Kellofaplan because the weather in Chicago is gloomy and I needed my planner to make me happy—especially since this is my first week back at work. I pulled in those gorgeous full boxes (I haven’t used them in a while!) and built the spread around cozy winter elements like the snowflake girl, the little door, a snowman, and the cutest teapot with a hat and scarf. But the real backbone of this setup is my checklist system. I use my planner extremely functionally—stickers keep me interested, but my plans keep me going. I add to-do list checklists and daily boxes, then layer in smaller boxes for my work schedule because I’m salaried and I need to track my hours so I don’t burn out. I also share little “real life” planning moments, like not loving writing on the very bottom of the page, fixing crooked stickers, and even pulling off snowflakes that were pretty… but just weren’t playing nice in this spread. The takeaway: your planner doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to work for you.
