About This Video

What’s up, knights? In this video I’m taking a look at a brand-new Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord mod inspired by the War of the Roses, and I found it through JackieFishHD—so definitely go watch his coverage too. What I’m showing here is mostly a siege compilation and then a few pitch battle clips, but even from that, this mod already looks incredible. The settlements are gorgeous, the banners and colors pop, and the whole thing leans hard into that late medieval vibe—heavy stainless steel armor, period-accurate helmets, and that gritty, grounded historical feel you don’t really get from vanilla Bannerlord’s earlier-era look. The big takeaway for me is how “different” it feels while still clearly being Bannerlord. The maps and structures look unique, like a proper English manor/castle blend, and the battles have that brutal siege energy—multiple ladders, rams, archers firing through gaps, and tight courtyard fighting. I’m also really hoping the mod leans into armor actually mattering—where swords feel like they bounce off plate, and blunt or piercing weapons become the real answer. I don’t know the release date yet or how deep the campaign systems go, but I’m excited. If this mod keeps progressing like this, it’s going to be absolutely gnarly—and it’s exactly why I keep begging TaleWorlds to prioritize modding tools so these talented teams can keep cooking.
