Welcome to Pinebrook Homestead. It's Monday Reset, and today I'm sharing my Best Homemade Ragu Sauce. I'm also attempting to make some homemade pasta, and restocking my homemade chicken bone broth. Cheers to you! ~Marie Homemade Pasta Recipe: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/homemade-pasta/ (personally, after using all Semolina flour, next time I will use all purpose or a combination of both) The Best Homemade Ragu: 1 Red Onion (diced) 3 Cloves garlic (diced) 2 Large Carrots (diced) 48 ounces Tomato Sauce 1 lb. Sweet Italian Sausage 1 Parmesan Rind Basil (Fresh, Frozen or dried) 1 TBLS Olive oil Heat your dutch oven and add a tablespoon of olive oil, add and brown your Italian Sausage. Add your chopped onion and cook for a few minutes. Next, add your garlic until fragrant. Then add the chopped carrots cooking for a minute or two. You'll finish by adding your tomato sauce, basil and parmesan rind. Let simmer for 1-3 hours. Enjoy over your favorite pasta!
