Cheers to Home Baked Breads ~Marie Easy Yeast Bread (Artisan French Loaf...makes 2 loaves) 2 Cups Warm Water 1 Tbsp Active Dry Yeast 1 Tbsp Sugar 1 Tbsp Salt 5 1/2-6 cups All Purpose Flour Mix Water, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl, and let sit until the yeast starts to bubble or forms a bloom. Add 5 1/2 cups flour to bowl and either mix by hand or in a mixer. (If the dough is not coming together add the last half cup of flour slowly until it forms a dough ball) Knead in stand mixer or by hand for 5-8 minutes. It should pass the window pane method. Next place into an oiled bowl and cover. Place in a warm place for 1 hour. After the dough has doubled, turn out on a floured surface. Divide dough into two. Pull and fold dough to create tension as well as form a log style loaf. Place on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Next take an oven save dish and pour boiling water into it, placing it into a cold oven on the bottom rack. Place your cookie sheet of bread dough on the top rack.
