STUDIO LIGHTING PHOTOGRAPHY BTS | Shallow depth of field in studio | Canon 5D mk iv + Sigma 50mm 1.4

Hello friends, today we explore shooting shallow depth of field portraits in this studio lighting photography video. A lot of times people like to shoot at higher depth of field in the studio and thats because most at-times, they are just shooting against a plain backdrop. I feel that is absolutely fine, but when you build a set and you have foreground and background elements in your frame, you can shoot shallow depth portraits to make your images more interesting. Shooting shallow depth also means your camera naturally is letting in more light, so you really do not need to use very strong lights or use very high output power on your strobes.. you can use speedlights as well just to help control the light output.
