Air vs Coil — I Wasn’t Expecting This

Head to head test between the Fox Float X2 air shock and Fox DHX2 coil shock on my Ari Superior Peak downhill bike. To do this test I took my recent go to shock, the DHX2, and used the Slacker to calculate the sag percentage. I then used the Slacker to setup the Float X2 with the exact same sag percentage to make the test as similar as possible. For clickers, I matched the rebound settings between the two shocks, and for compression I used my standard settings for the DHX2 and the recommended compression settings for 205 psi for the Float X2. For a bit more clarity on the compression, my DHX2 settings were HSC: 6 from closed & LSC: 11 from closed. The recommended settings for the X2 were HSC: 5 from closed & LSC: 10 from closed. So all things considered they were just about as similar as I could make them.
