Use FLATTOP5 for 5% off The Pecan Pantry here: https://thepecanpantry.com/?ref=theflattopking @MeatChurchBBQ @TraegerGrills@smokinpecan #dessert #pecan #cobbler Ingredients: - 2 pie crusts (rolled Pillsbury brand - in refrigerator section) - 2 cups brown sugar - 2 1/4 cups light corn syrup - 1/2 cup butter, melted - 4 teaspoons vanilla - 2 cups chopped pecans - 6 eggs, beaten - 1/4 to 1/2 cup bourbon - 1 bag chocolate chips - 2 cups pecan halves (for the top) Instructions: 1. Preheat pellet grill or smoker to 350 degrees F. 2. Mix the brown sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, beaten eggs, vanilla, bourbon, and 2 cups of chopped pecans in a large bowl. 3. Unroll one of the softened pie crusts and place it flat in the bottom of a 12” cast iron skillet. 4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the pie crust in a thin even layer. 5. Pour about 1/2 of the pecan pie mixture over top of the chocolate chips. 6. Place the second unrolled pie crust over top. 7. Bake in the smoker or pellet grill at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. 8. Carefully remove from the smoker. Pour on the remaining half of the pecan pie mixture. 9. Arrange the pecan halves on top. 10. Bake on the smoker at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes. 11. Remove from the smoker and allow to cool at least 1 hour, or overnight. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
