Paws up or front paws on an object is a great trick to work on. I use this skill: *In my fitness plan to work on proprioception (knowing where all body parts are), strength in the rear end, and as part of our warm-up for exercise to help reduce the chance of injury. *On walks to reduce the monotony of "plain and boring" walking with doggy parkour. *On new objects to boost confidence and increase curiosity. We will teach this skill using luring (treat to nose to guide the dog). We will work on fading the food out of the picture (so that the dog does not become dependant on it to do the skill) and we will put it on a verbal cue! Let's get started!
