Easy Way to Teach your Puppy to Sit

Learning to sit is a great foundation skill! In today's tutorial, Pawsitive Futures owner and trainer Chelsea will teach you how to use food to teach your puppy (or adult dog) to sit using a food lure. Luring is a method where we use food to guide a dog from point a to point b. When we use luring to train a behavior we want to get the food out of our hands quickly. Generally, we recommend 3 repetitions with a food lure and then we want to remove the food out of the picture. We then are left with a behavior on a visual signal and could add a verbal cue.
