Every Baby Sitting Position Explained | Newborn to Toddler Sitting Stages

Sitting is a major milestone in Baby’s development! It unlocks their ability to start solid foods, and allows them to play in a whole new way! Before Baby masters this milestone, they will go through different stages of early sitting: 1. Supported sitting 2. Tripod sitting 3. Independent sitting 4. Functional sitting Once Baby is a pro at sitting up on their own, you’ll see them try out all sorts of positions, from short sitting and the classic “criss-cross applesauce” to side sitting and W-sitting.
