About This Video

Yo, what’s up builders? In this video I finally remake my very first custom ever — my RG Zaku II — but this time with new skill, new details, same machine. I start from the chest because out of the box it already looks good, but I want it sharper, more bulky, and more custom without losing that classic Zaku identity. I sand the surfaces first (for me sanding is the key), then I stack layers and reshape using putty. I also upgrade the head to look more massive and realistic while keeping the mono eye vibe, and when something feels missing or breaks, I don’t stop the build — I just scratch a new part with putty and keep going. For the legs, I wanted the whole design to feel more powerful and grounded, so I mix parts (HG into RG frame) and build a custom joint with pla-plate so it’s solid with no loose issue. After that, I push the details with custom panel lines, build a functional connector funnel on the left arm shield using option parts, and then do the full surface check: fill holes, sand up to 1000 grit, prime, and paint. I finish with masking the feet for clean lines, waterslide decals with setter/softener (minimum water), tiny hand painting for mechanical details, and a final top coat — then it’s reveal time.
