I’m mentioning this 4-port SATA expansion card as an option when you need a few extra SATA ports beyond what the motherboard provides. For light expansion it can be convenient, but for a TrueNAS/ZFS setup I still prefer a proper HBA when the build starts getting drive-heavy.
