The National Mall in Washington, D.C., was converted into a place of worship on a Sunday last month. Christian rock bands belted hallelujahs, and the crowd demonstrated their devotion while a roster of speakers, most of them evangelical Christians, called on Americans to consider the divine hand guiding the United States through its history. The event, called Rededicate 250, was organized by Freedom 250, the public-private partnership launched by the Trump White House to coordinate its anniversary celebrations. Judy Woodruff spoke to attendees of Rededicate 250 as part of her recent America at a Crossroads report. Watch PBS News for daily, breaking and live news, plus special coverage.
