ACADEMY 👉 https://www.overthrowdiscgolf.academy Coaching by us: https://www.overthrowdiscgolf.com Cam’s Channel: https://youtube.com/@camhoffdg?si=nqm7SFnWMKn6nsL- Most players attack nose angle the same way—more mechanics, more cues, more things to “fix.” That’s exactly what Cam Hoff had been doing. As a coach himself, he had already worked through the grip changes, wrist positions, and technical adjustments people typically use to get the disc nose down. It wasn’t working. In this session, we took a completely different approach. Instead of adding more internal, mechanical thoughts, we shifted to an external, visual focus—giving his body a clear outcome to organize around rather than more positions to control. The result was immediate. Cam went on to throw a personal best of 647 feet, not by forcing better mechanics, but by allowing the right movement to emerge from the right cue. In this video, we break down: • Why mechanical cues can stall your progress • The difference between internal vs. external focus • The exact type of cue that helped fix his nose angle • How to apply this approach to your own game If you feel like you’ve “tried everything” and still aren’t seeing progress, there’s a good chance you’re solving the problem from the wrong direction.
