Three of the five families participating are introduced. Phil and Jayne Lees from Wakefield have an angelic daughter Heidi and a devil of a son called Cameron. Three-year-old 'Cam' rules the roost day and night. The only means of controlling him is bribery. Paula Harris is a single mother who lives in Hertfordshire. She works full-time as a PA and has an au pair to take care of son Angus, four. Angus has ADHD and Paula hopes the course will help her handle his violent tantrums. Tracey and Gary Walls have four children. Five-year-old Aaron is out of control. Two year old Kieran is beginning to copy his brother''s behaviour. The parents meet Professor Matt Sanders and face up to some home truths. They''re shown footage of family life - and it makes uncomfortable viewing. They begin to become aware of the many factors that produce their children''s naughty behaviour and they prepare for a difficult journey ahead.
