500 Passengers Trapped On A Broken Train | Paddington 24/7 | S2 E5 | Our Stories

At Paddington, the early morning service from Swansea has broken down just outside the station, causing major disruption during the morning rush hour - packed commuter trains are backed up outside the station and cancellations are rising. With 500 passengers on board, it's a race against time to come up with a solution. The locomotive of the famous Rivera sleeper train comes to the rescue - it's attached to the back of the failed train to push it into the station at walking pace. But after four hours of delays, station staff have angry passengers to contend with. And not only that, staff at Reading depot are now up against the clock to get the same sleeper locomotive prepped in time for the next sleeper service. Paddington's staff have further challenges ahead, with a series of medical emergencies at the station.
