Earlier this season, I shared a wheat stitch scarf that was crocheted along the length, starting with a very long foundation chain. In today’s video, I’m showing you a slightly different version of the same design. This time, the scarf is crocheted along the width, and the wheat stitch is worked so that the texture faces in the opposite direction. The pattern itself remains essentially the same, with only two small changes compared to the original version. If you enjoyed the first wheat stitch scarf, this variation gives you another construction option while keeping the same beautiful texture and familiar stitch pattern. I used Soft and Shiny by Loops & Threads yarn, 100% acrylic, category 4. Color Icy Blue, two skeins in total (about 622 yards / 340 grams). Hook size H (5 mm). Finished scarf measures approximately 72 inches long and 8 inches wide.
