This tutorial features a simple one-row repeat crochet stitch that is very easy to learn and remember. The stitch is worked using regular single crochets and spiked single crochets, which creates a dense, thick fabric that looks the same on both sides. This stitch works beautifully for a warm, heavy scarf or blanket. It can also be adapted for home decor projects. When worked with cord or raffia yarn, it would make a sturdy, thick rug. I used two skeins of Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek in the color Ivory. This is a category 4, 100% acrylic yarn. Crochet hook size I 5.5 mm . The finished scarf measures approximately 64 inches long and 7 inches wide.
