You can earn elevated cash back (up to 10% in certain cases), and it feels especially satisfying when you’re getting rewards at retailers where you also own stock. The whole point is you set the card to automatically deposit those rewards and reinvest them into your M1 investment pie, so it’s a hands-off way to turn everyday spending into long-term portfolio contributions. I also talk about how the card integrates smoothly with M1’s ecosystem (invest/borrow/spend), which makes it feel like one cohesive financial tool. On paper, it has a $0 annual fee, which is nice. But I’m also honest about where it falls short: the value drops fast if you’re not using M1 Plus (which has a fee) or if your spending isn’t focused on their tiered merchants. The base rate is 1.5% back, there’s a $200 monthly rewards cap, and redemption is limited because you’re basically reinvesting inside M1. If you’re committed to M1 and want automated reinvestment, it’s fantastic—if you want max unlimited cash back everywhere, look elsewhere.
