In this video I’m testing the EZ Car Care Champs “Luxury” car shampoo in a simple, real-world hand wash. The instructions on the bottle are pretty funny (“add your desired quantity”), because yeah… my desired quantity would be like 5 ml so it lasts forever. Jokes aside, I used around 50 ml per bucket and went with a proper two-bucket setup: one for rinsing, one for clean shampoo. For agitation I used the DIY Detail Perfectly Safe Brush, because it’s an easy way to see if a shampoo is actually giving you decent glide. The car might look clean on camera, but it wasn’t—just not “mud up to the neck” dirty. After the pre-wash, the Champs shampoo removed the remaining dirt without drama and it lubricated the surface nicely, which is exactly what I want from a maintenance wash soap. Scent-wise, I honestly couldn’t figure it out: not fruity, not herbal/floral, not perfumey—more like something artificial, and not necessarily a “great” one, but it’s not offensive either. Overall: it does the job, so I can hand-recommend it. Why not?
