The boys finally bugged me enough to get up to the North Shore. I was comfortably watching the opening day of the Pipe Pro when Aidan messaged me from the North Shore saying it was slightly overhead and off shore, so I decided to go. There were still occasional near double overhead sets, tho we didn't get any of them. My first wave was a few feet overhead and with the North Shore power it felt like that was all the Gerry could handle. Once of the larger sets blew Aidan's leash plug out from his board. I ended up catching a few whitewash rides cause I couldn't dip the overhead waves and I didn't want to abandon ship so that was my only other option, lol. Apparently while we were surfing there was a 10 foot Tiger spotted at Waimea bay which is right next to where we were surfing. Here's the Surfer article about it. https://www.surfer.com/news/shark-spotted-waimea-bay-world-surf-league Thanks for Watching!
