This one is a behind-the-scenes day at Fred’s shop while we build custom cabinets for my other Honda Element, “Tank the Toaster.” I’m basically trying to show you the part of the process you don’t always see—measuring, fitting, and making sure the cabinet layout actually makes sense inside an Element (because the Element is weird in the best way). This is exactly why I always say Honda made the Element for this life… you can genuinely put a camper in it and still keep it simple. Along the way, I’m also sharing another sourdough success recipe, because that’s just part of my tiny home rhythm now—build something, fix something, cook something. My big takeaway here is that a good Element camper build isn’t about cramming in a bunch of stuff. It’s about smart storage, cabinets that don’t waste space, and a setup that’s easy to live with day after day—especially when you’re trying to do real-life cooking and not just eat snacks in a parking lot.
