Things were not going as planned in this one—because my Honda Element decided to break again. If you’ve been around my channel for a minute, you already know this is part of the Honda Element vanlife package: you make a plan, the Element laughs, and then you pivot. I’m processing the frustration in real time (yes… there are feelings), while still trying to keep my day moving and my tiny home life rolling. And because life doesn’t stop just because the car is acting up, I’m still cooking. I’m using my Our Place pots and pans setup and my Instant Pot to keep things simple and doable on the road, even when I’m stressed and tired. I also give a huge shoutout to Nick Stice—when I can, I only take my Honda Elements to Nick, especially for lift-related work and repairs. The big takeaway: vanlife is never perfect, but you can build systems (good tools, good food routines, and a trusted mechanic) that make the chaos a lot more manageable.
