About This Video

Today I’m getting my lifted 2003 Honda Element (aka “Ninth”) off-road ready for what I’ve got coming next—solo female van life adventures. This is one of those ride-along, behind-the-scenes days where I’m checking in on the real-world stuff that actually matters when you live out of an Element: how it’s driving, what’s working, what’s not, and what I still need to dial in before heading out. I also dig into a couple of the big questions I know you all wonder about—like how much my Element weighs when it’s not loaded down with all my gear, and whether I finally figured out that mysterious smell. I talk through the process as I go, because that’s always been my thing: DIY, learn-as-I-go, and keep it honest so you can apply it to your own Element camper build. If you’re lifting your Element or setting it up for camping, this video is basically my checklist mindset—fix it right the first time, keep it simple, and make sure the rig is truly ready before you disappear into the woods.
