Right now, I am trying to lose weight, but when I was young, I always wanted to go to McDonalds. I was pretty fascinated by how McDonald’s had built its great business. I just wanted to research its business model. Then I found something really special about what made McDonald’s great. If you go there, and ask who is your best cook. Sometimes, they cannot give an answer, as there is no one chef at McDonald’s who creates all of the burger. There’s one guy who cooks, one who grills, one who combines everything. So when you go to McDonald’s, you will see it is more of a factory, an assembling line. People assemble the burger, they don’t cook it. That’s a process. That’s how McDonald’s sell burgers without hiring a single cook. That’s the power of a system. So if you have a system, you don’t need an expert at selling or marketing, everyone can create just one part, and that would build an entire system that works for you. The biggest mistake people when it comes to network marketing is they try to train their downline to become the greatest salesperson ever. But guess what? Training a salesperson is the hardest thing in the world because you have to overcome their fears, and also, training them to persuade others is very hard. So rather than training them to become salespersons, you can train them to be a part of the system. What do I mean by that? When it comes to selling, there are always two parts. The first is lead generation, which means you publish content on the internet, you post on social media, and you make people sign up if they get interested. Second part is follow up. This means when people sign up, you follow up with them through emails, or sending them content. So lead generation is marketing, and follow up is selling. Selling is the hardest thing in the world, so you can train your downline to sell, but it would be really hard. So instead of teaching people how to sell, we teach them how to publish, how to market, how to generate leads. So when they are bringing leads to the system, the system will converts their leads for them. This is the power of the system. In marketing, we called this system the funnel. A sales funnel is the combination of many pages and follow ups. If you want to join a network marketing business, you want to find a team that can create the funnel for you, because for the creation, it requires some other expertise and you don’t want to do that yourself. If you are an expert, you can do it yourself, and handover your funnel to your team. But most of the time, it’s really hard. So if you are looking for a team, you are looking for someone who can create the funnel for you. Then you can just copy their funnel, and use it for your team. That’s the secret when you are building your network marketing business. You don’t want to teach them how to sell, you don’t want to teach them how to build a funnel. You want to create a funnel and hand it to them. You want them to work on the easy part, that is, lead generation, so they can easily scale your business.
